ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
BUILDERS Room E212
This married couples class is the place to be to share the love of Christ and be a blessing to one another and to others in the Bethel family. Many areas of service and support (Return to Bethlehem, Youth Missions, Christmas and other special church-related needs) are the focus of the Builders’ class. Especially dear to them are the needs of Bethel shut-ins, both physical and financial. The class itself is taught by four members whose format includes discussion and life issues. Closeness of this group is further enhanced by socials (cook-outs, picnics, covered dish meals, day trips and golfing excursions) every two-three months. The fellowship, friendship and love for their God and their church is outstanding. They welcome visitors! Class Contact: Bob Haulbrook 576-1131
CHREITZBERG-LYDIAN-LANHAM Room S101
Three classes combined several years ago to form this very hospitable, close-knit and caring group of women who support each other not only on Sunday but every day. Their emphasis is on continual and immediate service to their sick and shut-ins through meals, visits, transportation or whatever the need all of which are closely monitored by and provided by members of this class. This same emphasis extends to the needs and requests of the church and to special projects (Hospice, Meals on Wheels) that arise. The International Lessons Series is taught by four rotating teachers in an atmosphere designed to promote spiritual growth and encouragement to all. Socials are scheduled two times yearly at the discretion of the class. Seek this class if you value the practice of service to others". Class Contact: Vickie Gray 576-9584
COMPANIONS
The Companion Sunday School Class is for all ages, eighteen and older. We meditatively study scripture and spiritual classical writings from the early church until today. As a spiritual formation class, we learn to discern and follow more fully the inspiration of God's Grace in our lives. We are receptive and open to the spiritual hungers of others wherever they may be in their life journeys. We gladly welcome newcomers and members to join us anytime in the Church library at 9:45 on Sunday morning. All you need is your Bible and an open spirit to committed participation. Join us also as we participate in fellowship gatherings, annual retreats, and mission projects
DISCOVERY Room E312
A common characteristic among many members of Discovery Class is that they are parents of preschool or school-age children. Several participants in Discovery Class started attending because they wanted their children to have a Sunday School experience, and then they needed an adult class for themselves. In fact, some members were never involved in Sunday School as an adult before coming to Discovery Class. Apply-it-to-life discussions of life-related issues and biblical topics include variety and relevance. Caring and fellowship are found through class get-togethers such as progressive dinners, swimming parties, after-church lunches, picnics, and events in various homes. No prerequisites are needed, just bring yourself, to gain spiritual growth in both your heart and mind.
