Workshop Rotation Sunday School

Our Workshop Rotation Sunday School is geared for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Focusing on one Bible story per month, the children are grouped by grade and rotate through multi-dimensional workshops in themed rooms each week:
The Temple - Bible story
Italy - Cooking/Science
Africa - Games/Drama
Paris - Art
Hollywood - Video

We begin our rotation workshop Sunday School in September and finish for the year in May. During the summer months, K-5 through 5th grade meets as a large group. This summer we are learing about the Fruit of the Spirit.

Our Sixth graders meet each Sunday morning in preparation for confirmation in late spring.

Pre-School Sunday School

Children 2 years through K-4
Children ages two through three meet each week in our Blue room for Bible story, crafts, singing and fun. Our older preschoolers in K-4 meet in the Green Rainforest room for their Sunday School hour.

Nursery
A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers during Sunday School and all worship services (8:45 am – 12:30 pm). Pagers are available.

Regular Weekly Schedule

Sundays:
9:45 Sunday School Begins
10:55 WEE Church (3-5 year olds) & Children’s Church (K-5 thru 2nd grade). Both are staffed by parents. Our Nursery is staffed by Converse College students except during academic breaks when parents rotate nursery responsibility.

Wednesdays: (beginning Sept 9, 2009)
5:15 pm Children’s Choir (K-6) 3rd Floor Choir Room
5:30-6:15 Family Supper Fellowship Hall
6:30 pm Clues Club (K-4th grade); Club 56 (5th & 6th grade)

Ministry Notes

• Children are encouraged to bring their Bible to Sunday School and church. They receive a piece of candy each time they bring their Bible as a reminder that God’s Word is Sweet!
• "Pockets" is a monthly devotional magazine published by Upper Room, designed especially for 6-12 year olds… a wonderful resource for you and your child to discuss God & his presence in your everyday life. You can pick yours up outside the Children's Ministry office.
